About the event
Join us for a powerful luncheon and panel discussion that celebrates Juneteenth and the impact of Black women who show up, lead, and carry the legacy of generations of community. Hosted in the historic St. Paul Square in partnership with Maria Williams, Founder of In the Eye of the Beholder Art Gallery, this event brings together dynamic voices from across the city. Together, we'll reflect on the legacy of Black women during Reconstruction and how those same values of resilience, creativity, and connection continue to shape our communities today.
We’re also excited to feature Jaluda, presenting their collection, Rejuvenation. This moving visual statement uses bold designs to celebrate the beauty and strength in turning adversity into artistry. Jaluda’s collection embodies the theme “We were given scraps, but look what we made from that.”
